RED ROCKS REPORTER
For more than 20 years, the Walatowa Convenience Store has met the grocery and fuel needs of people in our local communities. From the beginning, Ms. Virginia Sandia has been a vital asset to providing the community with these necessities through her friendly greetings, helpful knowledge, and overall outstanding customer service.
Over the years, she has taken many roles in the store and become a staple at the C-Store. Her dedication ranges from arriving to work before the break of dawn, sometimes on snow covered roads, working double shifts to make sure the store was staffed, and taking on extra shifts when fellow coworkers have emergencies.
Ms. Sandia has made a lot friends over the years while working at the C-Store. Vendors, customers and staff all know Virginia with her friendly welcomes and warm smile.
The successful growth of our company is the direct result of our valued employees. Their dedication and commitment to serving customers is a vital link in the chain that drives our operation.
In recognition of this commitment, the Jemez Community Development Corporation is pleased to honor Ms. Virginia Sandia for her 20 years of service at the Walatowa Convenience Store. For the month of February, a picture board and card box will be placed at the store for the community to drop a friendly note to Ms. Sandia or share a story about a good experience you had with her.
On February 14 a customer appreciation party will be held in honor of Ms. Sandia to celebrate her 20 years of service from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; light refreshments will be served.
