Once again, the New Mexico Rail Runner Express is hosting Santa’s Village at the Santa Fe Railyard. Bike Share Expansion – Share Your Ideas
Rio Metro is working diligently to expand the bike share program beyond Downtown Albuquerque in early 2018. We are seeking further feedback from the community regarding bike share stations in the downtown, east of downtown, and Nob Hill areas. While this expansion phase is targeting these areas, feel free to provide other suggestions for consideration in future expansion phases. We invite you to share your feedback during one of the following events: Nob Hill Shop n’ Stroll, Thursday December 7, 5 – 10 p.m. in front of Slice Parlor; Bike Share Open House, Friday, December 8, 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. at the Mid-Region Council of Governments. Experience the Wonderland at the Festival of Trees!
The Festival of Trees is a two-day celebration of the children served by the Carrie Tingley Hospital Foundation. With over 80 uniquely decorated trees and a variety of centerpieces and wreaths on display and available for purchase, the Carrie Tingley Hospital Foundation’s Festival of Trees is the largest in New Mexico! Complimentary coffee, hot cocoa, children crafts, live entertainment and pictures with Santa provided for children young and old! This year’s event takes place at the Albuquerque Convention Center. ART Service to the River of Lights
Albuquerque Rapid Transit (ART) is arriving to Albuquerque just in time for the holidays! ART is running a partial park and ride service from the Central and Unser Transit Center to the BioPark River of Lights. The service will be free and will run Friday and Saturday evenings from 6 – 10 p.m. Passengers will save time by getting ahead of heavy holiday traffic due to the dedicated lane system and traffic signal prioritization. While on board, passengers will be able to enjoy interior bike racks, level entry, Wi-Fi, USB ports, and increased security. Bring your family and skip the holiday traffic!
